It is so obvious from all the candles lit and all the comments posted that Willard lived his life the way he was supposed to, and the way all of us should. Loving God makes you love people. He did. We should, too. And I'm sure Peter and Paul are getting a kick out of one of Willard's jokes right about now

For forty years my life has been enriched because of Bro. Willard Johnson. His kindness, sweet spirit and humility were the trademarks of his life. He was devoted to his ministry to which God had called him and he loved life and loved people. He has made an eternal difference for the Kingdom of God and his life mattered. All of us who knew Bro. Willard are diminished because of his passing. I feel so humbled and honored to conduct his funeral service and it will be a tribute to his life; a life well lived and for a person well loved!

Bro. Willard Johnson was a geat defender if the faith, a good loyal friend and always ready to preach The Word, For many years he and Hillary called each other on Saturday evening to discuss their Sunday School lessons and sermons. Willard was always eager to help teach teenager or othe children at church or Christian Camp.
When a student at KY Christian College he served several ministries.. while Serving The Sialome church in South Shore Ky he became a good friend to our family. He also served as a Youth Minister at the Grundy VA church under Clarence Greenleaf. He filled in preaching for many of the churches there when they need a preacher. Willard liked the Ky Wildcats and Cincy Reds ... He would call to remind us when the ballgame s were on. Willard was not only a preacher of The Word he was a minister with great compassion for others. He sent cards, made visits to pray for the sick and made phone calls to many people . Most of all, Willard witnessed to other to encourage them to become Christians. We enjoyed many meals of fellowship, sharing Bible thoughts, jokes and good food. Willard loved to eat out with friends.
I cannot imagine how many stars will be in his crown. He dedicated his life to Preaching and defending God's Word and influential in leading others to Christ. Our Brotherhood will miss his influence. Go on to Glory, Brother Willard, your work here is finished.
