Hoover enjoyed life and helped everyone else to enjoy it too. As a classmate in the
50's he entertained us all. As a ball player, he gave us lots to cheer for. On the way to
games he taught us all the "hillbilly" songs and made us think it was "cool."

Hoover was a great person. I enjoyed his stories. I found out that he grew up not far from my grandmother Edith Reid on White Oak while listening to one story, and that he knew my Papa Reid while listening to another story. He will be missed
