Jeffrey "Bear" Otis

Jeffrey "Bear" Otis, 53, passed away Monday June 27 at his residence after a long illness. He was born September 20, 1962 the son of Roger Wayne and Janice Otis. He was a retired banker and a member of the Owingsville First Church of God. He was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather to his family. He spent his career helping the community he lived in be a better place than he found it. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife Glenda Jones Otis of Owingsville; his parents Roger Wayne and Janice Otis of Salt Lick; 1 son Jeffrey Lee (Lauren Routt) Otis of Owingsville; and one wonderful granddaughter Addilyn Sloan Otis.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home and Funeral Services will take place Friday at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
