Occupation and Activities and Memberships……He was the Owner and Operator of Downs Radio and TV Repair; He Served in the United States Army Air Forces in WWII; He was a former Owingsville City Councilman working on many projects including Owingsville’s first major sewer project and the construction and subsequent operation of the Owingsville City Pool for many years; He was most proud of helping to bring in Owingsville’s first medical clinic; He was a member of the Owingsville Lions Club and helped run the concession stand at the Annual Horse Show for many years; He coached Little League baseball and not surprisingly was once awarded the Owingsville Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
