Sheila Snedegar, age 63 of Owingsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 7 at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born on January 27, 1961 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late Gladys Snedegar. Sheila was a very simple and loving person. She enjoyed having company and was known to have a witty personality at times. Listening to country music was a favorite thing of hers, especially Loretta Lynn. Sheila enjoyed snacks, popcorn and loved to drink pop. She loved to have jewelry and watches. Sheila never complained and was easy going. Her life was simple and she was grateful for everyone that was a part of it. She will be missed by those she loved.
She is survived by one brother, J.B. Snedegar of Owingsville; four nieces, Gloria Metz, Karen Manley, Angela Moore and April Rowe, all of Owingsville; three aunts, Bonnie Manley of Jeffersonville, Gordie Conyers and Jane Wells, both of Owingsville; one brother in law, Charles Holland of Winchester; several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gruel Snedegar; one sister, Phyllis Holland; two nieces, Judy Hunt and Linda Black.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Crouch officiating. Burial will be in the Old Virginia Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Joseph Manley, Ian Manley, Justin Manley, Evan Manley, Caleb Rowe, Chevyn Rowe, Clay Hudson and Jordan Denton.
