Elizabeth "Bib" (Conyers) Jones

Sally Elizabeth "Bib" Jones, age 88 of Owingsville, passed away on February 15 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. She was born on October 21, 1935 in Bath County to the late John Conyers and Nancy Robinson Conyers. Bib worked at Cowden's Manufacturing for over 25 years before retiring. She then took on babysitting and working at Clear Creek Market for almost 20 years. Growing up, she was known to everyone as Granny Bib. She loved watching her game shows. The children she babysat knew that at 11:00 a.m. it was quiet time so they could all watch The Price is Right. Bib was a kind and caring lady. She loved her family and every child that she cared for. Her loving heart and kind ways will be missed so dearly by all of her family she leaves behind. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was so special to all. 

She is survived by one son, Charles Jones and his wife, Carolyn of Owingsville; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Jones of Louisville; four grandchildren, Brian Jones (Matt) of Atlanta, GA; Amanda Jones of Louisville, KY; Krista Staton of Owingsville; Kady Mann of Louisville; five great grandchildren, Brooks Staton, Kadyn Mann, Harlyn Rose Mann and Ivy Mann and Winnie Mann; one sister, Mary Riddle of Owingsville; a host of special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jones; two sisters, Barbara Rogers and Anna Jane McClure; five brothers, Bob Conyers, Donald "Dooger" Conyers, Billy "Black" Conyers, Kenny Conyers and James "Coon" Conyers.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin on Monday, February 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
