Winnie Ellen Moore Lawson, age 72, passed away Friday, January 3 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY after a brief illness. She was born March 30, 1947 in Dayton, OH to the late Jay Braxton and Lou Emma Spencer Moore. She was a former employee of A.O. Smith Corporation for 11 years and a care taker of many. She was of the Christian faith. She loved spending time with her family and friends and never met a stranger. She loved to laugh and had a good time wherever she went.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Chris Lawson and one sister, Sandra Lee Moore.
She is survived by one brother, James Moore (Ritchie) of Owingsville; Three sisters, Sarah Zenor (Eric) of Marietta, GA, Joyce McLaughlin (Paul) of Noblesville, IN and Ethel Mae Key (Bob) of Cookeville, TN; Three daughters, Stephanie Crouch (Mike) of Owingsville, Linda Tucker (Craig) of Cullowhee, NC and Lana Lawson of Mt. Sterling; Five grandchildren, Jesse Mann, Katie Crouch, Preston McCoy, Ashton McCoy and Emma Tucker; Two granddogs, Max and Heidi Belle and one great granddog, Lily Ann. A host of friends also survive.
Visitation will be Monday, January 6 from 5-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the MacPelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
Brother Steve Meadows will be officiating.
