Wanda Brewer

Ora Wanda Brewer, age 92 of Olympia passed away on June 23 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling. She was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on July 8, 1931 to the late Carl Griffey and Alta Mae Kendall Griffey. Wanda was a devoted member of Mudlick Church of God and often would receive flowers for being the eldest church member. She enjoyed reading, watching westerns and the Andy Griffith show. Wanda enjoyed nature, especially watching cardinals and collecting rocks.  She had two dogs that she loved dearly, Peanut and Gabby. You could always find the radio tuned in to the Owingsville station anytime you were at her home. She always had an open door and took care of many people. Her kind heart, her love for her family and her laughter will  be missed dearly. She was one of a kind and her family will forever cherish the time they had with her. 

She is survived by one son, Randall Wade Brewer  (Tami Jo); three daughters, Gail Crooks (Mitchell), Tammy Roberson (Cleopas "Hop"), Regina Crouch (Paul), eleven grandchildren, Jamie Otis (Misty), Angela Perkins, Brian Crouch (Brittney), Kris Crouch (April), Shawn Brewer, Dustin Brewer, Shelby Hardin, Emily Hardin, Faith Roberson (Bryan), Carli Dean (Dallen), and Lyndsey McKinney (Chuck): twenty three great grandchildren and  two great great grandchildren; Caregivers, Autumn White, Connie Henry, Tiffany Jones, Debbie Dickerson and many others. She was blessed with excellent caregivers. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Paul Brewer; three sisters, Blanche Gibbs (Allen), Olive Wells (Billy), Myrtle Gabbard (Eck); two grandsons, Wayne Perkins and Travis Crouch.

Active pallbearers will be Shawn Brewer, Jamie Otis, Shelby Hardin, Dustin Brewer, Justin Welch, Brian Crouch and Kris Crouch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Otis, Chandler Otis, Seth Brewer, Alex Crouch, Adam Crouch, Avery Crouch, Aaron Crouch, Wyatt Crouch, Gavin Crouch, Skylar Hardin, Ryder Hardin, Kayson Hardin, Ryan Welch, Ronan Tate Coldiron, Carson Howard and Jaxton Coldiron.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Mudlick Church of God with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oldfield Cemetery.
