Walter J. "Bud" Carpenter Jr., 62, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 27, 2018. He was born November 11, 1955 in Bath County to Walter J. Carpenter Sr. and Phyllis Profitt Carpenter. He was a retired Journeyman/Toolmaker of GLC Industries. He was a member of the Midland First Church of God. Bud let his light and love for the Lord shine everywhere he went. Through his commitment and dedication he inspired and lead many to the Lord just by showing his kindness and unconditional love for others. He truly was an inspiration to all that knew him. He enjoyed hunting and going to his son's baseball games. He was Assistant Coach of the Batcats Travel Baseball Team, which he enjoyed so much.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeni Hunt Carpenter of Owingsville; One son, Connor Carpenter of Owingsville; His parents, Walter J. Carpenter Sr. and Phyllis Proffitt Carpenter of Owingsville; One sister, Judy Carpenter of Owingsville; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Friends may visit on Monday April 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Midland First Church of God. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday May 1 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Bush Stevenson and Reverend Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carpenter Family Cemetery.
