Theodore "Ted" Doyle

Theodore "Ted" Doyle, age 88, passed away on December 31. He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on July 28, 1935 to the late Luther Doyle and Nola Kiser Doyle. Ted lived in Bath County for many years. He served in the Navy and retired after three tours in Vietnam. Ted was very proud of his time in the service and proud of his country. He had been a minister since 1978, serving many churches over the years. Going to church and enjoying the fellowship was something he loved to do. He loved to tell others about the Lord. Ted liked to work crossword puzzles and spend time with his family. He adored his wife, Elizabeth and cared for her until her passing in 2019. Ted was a kind, simple man who will be missed dearly by all he leaves behind. His family finds peace in knowing that he was met in Heaven by his loving wife on what was their 63rd anniversary. 

He is survived by one son, Dale Doyle; two granddaughters, Christina Doyle and Ashley Prater; three great grandchildren, William Ashley, Emma Prater, and Lincoln Prater.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Doyle. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:00  a.m. in the chapel at the Richardson Funeral Home with Pastor James Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery.
