Terry Dean Griggs Jr.

Terry Dean Griggs Jr., age 36 of Olympia, passed away on August 8 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on May 12, 1988 to Terry Griggs and the late Teresa Griggs. Terry enjoyed being outdoors and working around the house. Carpentry was his favorite line of work. He loved to go fishing and spend time with family. Terry loved cats and was known to bring in every stray animal he found. Terry had a huge heart and always willing to help others. His family and friends will miss him. 

He is survived by his dad, Terry Griggs; one brother, Jerry Griggs (Tammy Martin); two nephews, Braydon and Braxton King; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Griggs;  one sister, Lisa Ann Griggs ; his paternal grandparents, Lerain and Betty Griggs; his maternal grandparents, Jouett and Vicey Thacker

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Griggs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover final expenses.
