Teresa Faye Thompson, age 78 of Owingsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 20 at her residence. She was born on December 20, 1943 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Samuel Allen McCarty and Callie Mae Penix McCarty. Teresa was a member of the Reynoldsville Christian Church. She loved to deliver God's word and tell everyone about the Lord. Taking walks, sewing and just reading her Bible were things she loved to do. Teresa's favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Family was important to her and she cherished every moment. She was a kind lady with a loving heart and a beautiful smile. Teresa always saw the good in every situation and was quick to help anyone she could. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. May they always cherish the memories they have with her and know that she is resting in the arms of the Lord.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 30 years, Stanley Thompson; one son, Daniel Shelton and his wife Tammy; one brother, Larry Mitchell McCarty Sr.; one sister, Billie Jean McNabb and her husband Dwain; one stepson Bradley Scott Thompson; three grandchildren, Danielle Ingram, Allie Campbell and Daniel Shelton Jr.; three great grandchildren, Noah Ingram, Henry and Harper Campbell; a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Perry Wayne Shelton; two brothers, Bobby Dean and Roger Allen McCarty; one sister, Cheryl Ann McCarty.
Private services are being held at the request of the family.
