Tammy Taylor, 60, passed away at her home Thursday September 4, 2025. She was born August 27, 1965 to the late Donnie Jamison and Carolyn Proffitt. She was a career nurse at facilities such as Ridgeway Nursing Home and Mary Chiles Hospital. Tammy was a selfless woman, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening her flowers and the occasional accidental pumpkin patch. She loved to spend her down time watching soap operas like “The Young and the Restless” and Madea movies.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Proffitt, her step-father, James Proffitt, one son, Josh (Alicia) Wells, one daughter, Kendall (Tyler) Jett, and two grandchildren, Evander Landsaw and Gunner Jett. She is also survived by two sisters, Shonda Wightman and Jamie Snedegar, one niece Casey (Justin) Norris, one nephew Cody (Megan) Willoughby , two great nieces, Hannah Norris and Ally Willoughby, and two great nephews, JJ Norris and Dallas Willoughby. She is cherished by her best friends, Ms. Martin, Bitty, and Charity M. Regan.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Sunday September 7, at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 1p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Sean Bailey presiding.
Burial to follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
