Ryan Kevin Sorrell, age 29 of Sharpsburg, passed away June 19 at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead, Kentucky. Born on April 15, 1994 in Clark County, Kentucky the son of Gary Sorrell and Debra Thornsburg Sorrell and the baby brother of Matthew Thomas Sorrell.
Ryan loved to be outdoors and enjoyed going fishing. Skateboarding was a passion of his, along with music and playing the guitar. He was very talented at them all. Ryan loved his family and visiting the kids at Little Flat. He worked in concrete with his dad and had a good work ethic. Ryan had a fun loving personality, loved to make people smile and was kind hearted. His presence, love and friendship will be dearly missed.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Gary and Deb Sorrell; maternal grandparents, Herschel and Irene Thornsburg; paternal grandfather, Floyd Thomas Sorrell; a nephew, Corbin Thomas Sorrell and a niece, Gracie Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Thomas Sorrell; his paternal grandmother, Lodema Sorrell and an uncle, Doodle Sorrell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Baber and Brock Baber officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Adam Thornsburg, Dusty Thornsburg, Tom Gerlaugh, Keith Carpenter, Cody House, Harley Crouch, Dylan Dailey and Brian Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Margo Thornsburg, Brittany House, Griffin Bradley, Eric Snyder, Carey Anderson, Stephen Ginter, Colby Richmond, Kevin Williams and Adam Warmouth.
