Rosie D. Hunt, age 77, passed away at her residence on March 17 after a brief illness. She was born on May 29, 1944 in Nicolas County, to the late Gobel Booth and Annie Willoughby Booth.
Rosie loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed bird watching, fishing and going camping. Rosie loved flowers and had some of the most beautiful flower beds. She liked to sew, have her hair and nails fixed and also loved to travel. Family was very important to her and she loved to spend time with them. She was a friendly person with a kind heart and loved to talk. Gospel music was her favorite and she enjoyed going to church. Rosie was a person that was kind hearted and helped others. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
She is survived by four daughters, Anna McIntire and her husband, Richard; Doris Humphries and her husband, Floyd; Rosemary Burgess; April Caudill and her boyfriend, Chris Back; six grandchildren, Jessica Humphries, Floyd C. Humphries, Allen Gallagher, Cecil Gallagher, Haley Daughtery (Kendall) and Jacob Hunt; one sister in law, Louise Booth; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Jo Burgess, one sister, Margie (Robert) Carson; three brothers, Elmer (Sue) Booth, Edgar (Carolyn) Booth and Cavanagh Booth; one grandson, Anthony Clay.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Scott Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Allen Gallagher, Floyd C. Humphries, Jacob Hunt, Cecil Gallagher, Aridan Humphries, Colten Humphries, Kevin Booth, Mike Booth and Bill Booth.
