Mr. Ronnie Rothwell Sr., 70, of Olympia, passed away Saturday morning at his residence. He was born in Muncie, Indiana to the late William Samuel and Opal Hatton Rothwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jean Rothwell and one sister; Virgie Marie Miller.
Ronald was known as a simple country man who loved life. He was a hard worker, having retired after 50 years from the Laborers International Union. Ronald was an avid hunter and was a collector of many things. Anytime you saw him out, you would notice one thing, and that was he always had an Ale-8 in his hand.
Ronald is survived by one son; Ronald Lee Rothwell Jr., one brother; Otis Stewart, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11 A.M Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the Chapel of the Richardson funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Pergrem - Rothwell Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 P.M Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be James Stover, Anthony Bell, Kevin Simpson, Burns Wheeler, Ralph Hodge and Greg Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Karrick, Mark Karrick, Mitchell Crooks, Orville Lee Pergrem, Curly Beacraft and JR Ginter.
