Roger Wayne Clark, age 66, passed away on November 3 after a long illness. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on October 20, 1956 to Anna Rachel Bashford Clark and the late Robert "Bobby" Sterling Clark. Roger was known as a Jack of all trades. He loved to go fishing, watch car racing and farming. Roger was a self employed contractor that could take on just about any job but he loved carpentry work. He loved Ford trucks and to give everyone a hard time. Joking around and making people laugh made him happy. He was the best father, grandfather and friend anyone could have. His family was a blessing to him and he enjoyed every minute he could spend with them. Roger was a hard working man that would help anyone he could. He had a kind, giving heart and a laughter that would make everyone smile. His family and friends will miss him dearly but find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering. May they cherish the memories they have with him.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Rachel Bashford Clark; five sons, George Clark (Jenn), Robert Clark (Kayla), Scottie Clark (Shelly), Camron Clark and Blake Clark; one daughter, Chrissy Evanoff (William); two sisters, Betty Clark and Brenda Halcomb; the mother of his three oldest sons, Kathy Clark; fifteen grandchildren, Savannah, Andrew, Austin, Bradley, Abbey, Paisleigh and Harper Clark, Maverick Blevins, Jordan Pruitt, Cary Harper II, Wyatt Montgomery, Christina, JR, and Joshua Hinson and Lucas Clemons. a host of family and friends
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Lillian Clark and his maternal grandparents, Bess and Jess Bashford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 11:30 until 2:00 at the Victory Chapel in Bethel.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Chapel with Brother Kevin Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Scottie Clark, George Clark, Robert Clark, William Elkins, Gary Leggett and John Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Jones, Andrew Clark, Austin Clark, Savanna Clark, Jordan Pruitt, Carey Harper and Shawn Bashford.
