Robert "Bobby" Richards Obituary

Robert "Bobby" Richards passed away April 17, 2020. He was born on September 1, 1945 in Montgomery County to the late Thorton Kimbrough Richards and Clara Wells Richards. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served two years and was awarded a purple heart. He retired from the US Army Core of Engineers. Bobby loved to play the guitar and was a great story teller. He enjoyed camping, fishing and loved all sports. He was an avid UK fan. He was also a member of the VFW Color Guards. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a fun loving person and will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind. 

He is survived by one son, Stephen Richards; one daughter, Leanne (Shawn) Easton; one brother, Carroll Richards; one sister, Mary Gillespie; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan, Bryice, Keith and Isabella Richards; Layne, Jacob and Alexandria Easton

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wuanda Richards; two brothers, Billy Richards and James Richards; one sister, Nell Flower

Private Services will be held with burial in the Owingsville Cemetery.
