Ricky Lee Williams Jr.

Ricky Lee Williams, Jr., 47,  lost his battle to cancer on April 27, 2022 and died at his home in Lexington, KY surrounded by his family.

Ricky Lee was born October 25, 1974 to Ricky Williams and Debbie Carol Wells. He was proud to be a graduate of Bath County High School’s Class of ’93. Ricky Lee was one of a kind. He had a wicked sense of humor and the biggest heart. Ricky Lee was never afraid to voice his thoughts and opinions, and he was the first to step up when help was needed.

Ricky Lee was a true and loyal friend. No matter what was needed he would be there. He was introduced to politics at an early age and had a great skill and ability to see the big picture. As he got older, he focused on policy changes over politics and worked with many individuals from both parties and in the media to make our Commonwealth better for everyone.

Ricky Lee was an outstanding athlete and sports enthusiast, and he was proudest when Shelby’s high school soccer team won the State Championship in 2012!  He enjoyed simple things- helping to cook meals, teaching Jacob his landscaping techniques, watching favorite movies and just being together. Ricky Lee loved music, especially classic rock, and he shared this love with Reagan. From the time she was little he would play music for her to dance to and record all her performances.  He had a knack to pick out the perfect song for any occasion, and he could sing every word. Above all things, he loved his family and felt that they were his biggest accomplishment in life.

Ricky Lee was preceded in death by his father, Ricky Lee Williams, Sr., sisters Michelle Williams and Monica Wells. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife Kimi and their 3 children, Shelby, Jacob and Reagan; his mother Debbie Everman;  mother-in-law Peggy Lewis; his Aunt Cindy and Uncle Steve Wells; uncles, aunts and cousins; and so many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
