Rick Highley, age 66 of Mount Sterling, passed away on February 24 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born on June 13, 1956 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late Ed Highley and Mary Triplett Highley. Rick was of the Christian faith. He was a retired police officer and enjoyed his job so much. Rick loved to tell stories about the good times he would have with his friends at work. Spending time with his family was so important to him. He loved to be with them every chance he could. Rick will be dearly missed by his family and friends that he leaves behind. May they forever cherish the memories.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Davis Highley; one son, Kevin Highley and his wife, Casey; one grandson, Cameron Layne Highley; one aunt, Bonnie Robinson; a special friend, Samantha Darlene Blevins; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on March 1 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice and Reverend Jackie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Slate Cemetery.
