Rhoda Goodpaster

Mrs. Rhoda Goodpaster, age 92, of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, at  Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on October 26, 1928 to the late Charlie Withrow and Nellie Craig Withrow. Rhoda worked as an aide at Owingsville Elementary for several years and also worked with the Adult Education Program in the county. She loved quilting, bingo and playing games. Rhoda was an avid UK basketball fan and loved to go camping. Traveling was something that she enjoyed so much. She was blessed to have been in every state except Hawaii. She loved to see the different places and make memories will her family. Rhoda was said to be hilarious! She had such a fun loving personality. She was happy, joyous and a free human being. She enjoyed life and loved her family dearly. Rhoda had a kind heart and a contagious laughter. She will be dearly missed by all those she leaves behind. 

She is survived by two sons, Jim Goodpaster and his wife, Connie; Eddie Goodpaster; one daughter, Wretha Goodpaster; four grandchildren, Tina Everman, Jason Goodpaster and his wife, Amanda; Jessica Goodpaster Pedigo and her husband, Rob; Ashley Goodpaster Wilson and her husband, Lance; thirteen great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; a host of special friends at Sterling Meadows and Rosemary Brooks Place. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude L. Goodpaster; one brother, Floyd Withrow; one sister, Eula Toy; one granddaughter Gina Goodpaster Rogers and one daughter in law, Ginny Goodpaster.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice, Reverend Harold Mason Goodpaster, Reverend Tim Cole and Reverend Jamie Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the Polksville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Asbury, Lance Wilson, Jon -Claude Henderson, Jacob Everman, Robert Clark, Jason Goodpaster, Chase Goodpaster, Robbie Adams, Michael Wells, Paul Teague and Rob Pedigo.
