Patty Everman Obituary

Patty Everman, age 73 of Owingsville, passed away on Saturday, June 11 at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead after a brief illness. She was born on May 5, 1949 in Fleming County to Marcella Pack Hoots and the late William Clarence Story. Patty worked as a cashier at BP in Owingsville for 10 years. She loved to talk with everyone and have a good time. Her favorite color was orange and she loved anything in that color.  She also owned  Wyoming Valley Greenhouse for over 15 years. Gardening, working in her flowers and mowing her yard were things she enjoyed to do. Patty loved a good political debate, to give everyone lectures and to know that she was always right. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Her grandchildren and her fur babies were her world. Patty was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Marcella Hoots; two sons, Jamie Everman and his wife, Becky; John Everman and his wife, Melissa, all of Owingsville; one brother, David Peck; three sisters, Tammy Davis of Louisville, Tina Englehart of Ohio, and Debbie Kelley of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Paige Everman and Hunter Everman of Owingsville; one sister in law, Gayle Story of Lake City, Florida; her fur babies, Buddy and Scooby; special friends, Connie Risner, Tonya Anderson and Delores Flannery; a host of family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Story of Lake City, Florida.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
