Orville J. Robinson, son of Willie and Dollie White Hunt Robinson of Owingsville, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on January 14, 2025. He was born in Bath County on May 29, 1929.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years, Willa Mae Little Robinson; his son, Howard Robinson; grandson, Jacob Thompson; great grandson, Gannon Spencer; best friend, Howard Stull.
He is survived by five daughters, Lena Wilson (Roy) of Owingsville; Norine Robinson (Gary Riley) of Elsmere; Judy Foster (Don) of Mt. Sterling; Dollie Robinson of Owingsville; Janice Richmond of Mt. Sterling; twelve grandchildren, Jenny Ronan, Bryan Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Laura Bishop, Jason Butcher, Sheena Thompson, Taylor Robinson, Bill Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Ben Green, Carrie Spencer and Josh Richmond; twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Geneva Thomas of Flemingsburg; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; special young ladies, Leighia Purvis and Alicia Purvis and the wonderful staff at Windsor Care for taking such good care of him. He enjoyed the staff and they loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery with military rights conducted.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Wilson, Bryan Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Ben Green, Diane Whisman, Larry Coldiron, Jordan Haitt and Gary Riley.
Honorary pall bearers will be D.J Clingham, Alton Copher, Josh Richmond, Wes Thomas, Rodney Thomas, Clarence Thomas and Charles Skaggs.
