Nina Vickers, 90, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday May 13, 2025. Born on March 2, 1935 in Foxtown, Ky she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Essie Hobbs Moore.
On October 17, 1951 she married James Vernon Vickers. They were married 55 years until his death in 2006.
She was a member of the Owingsville Baptist Church and had volunteered at the Christian Social Services for many years.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceeded in death by her infant daughter Freda Carol Vickers; four sisters Hazel Hobbs, Alvie Beal, Nelva Steele, Fred Haase; one brother Garnie Moore.
She is survived by two daughters Judy Waara of Redford, Michigan, and Janet (Eric) Ephraim of Las Vegas, Nevada; one son Jeff Vickers of Salt Lick, Ky; one granddaughter Melissa (David) Ginsburg of Las Vegas, NV; two grandsons Bradley (Belle) Ephraim of Las Vegas, NV and Greg(Tina) Waara of Garden City, Michigan; one great-granddaughter Isabella Ephraim of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces, nephews, church family and friends also survive.
Friends may visit from 12-2p.m. Sunday May 18, 2025. Funeral to follow at Richardson Funeral Home with the Reverend Chris Bailey presiding.
Burial will take place at 12 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio
