Nicholas Aaron Reed, age 4, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was born on December 28, 2021 in Morehead, Kentucky to Austin Reed and Kayla Spillman Reed.
Nicholas was full of life, laughter and endless curiosity. He loved tractors and dinosaurs and you could often find him driving around in his Jeep, looking for his next adventure. He enjoyed camping, playing outside and dancing to any kind of music. Nicholas had a fun and silly personality that made every moment brighter. He loved to pick and play with his siblings, sharing a special bond with them. He loved his family and followed his mom everywhere, letting her know how much he loved her. Nicholas loved to spend time with baby Elijah, showing his sweet and caring nature. Though his time here on earth was far too short, the love and joy he gave will live on forever in the hearts of those that loved him.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Austin and Kayla Reed; one brother, Landon Reed; one sister, Hope Reed; paternal grandparents, Tommy and April Reed; maternal grandparents, Berkley and Anita Spillman; five aunts, Brittany Reed, Amber Taylor (Nathan), McKenzie Robinson, Lee Ann Reed (Dakota), and Kourtni Hurst; five uncles, Bryson Robinson (Kimberly), Berkley Spillman Jr. (Triffany), Elijah Spillman (Taylor), Kenneth Spillman and Dakota Spillman (Morgan); a special cousin, Baby Elijah; several cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Sister Tracy Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery in Bethel.
