Navada Marie Cook, age 84 of Owingsville, passed away on January 5 at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born in Bath County on October 6, 1940 to the late Chester Purvis and Alta Phelps.
She is survived by nieces, Roni (Dean) Langavin of Fairfield, Ohio and Sue (Gilbert) Shrout of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; stepchildren, several.step grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friends, Jennifer Short, Danny McIntosh, Scottie and Rebecca Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mel Chester Cook and five brothers, Lilburn, Hoyt, Edsell, Harold and Thomas Purvis; two sisters, Nora Lee and Inella Purvis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home.
