Nathan Purvis, age 45 of Owingsville, passed away on April 12 after a brief illness. He was born on October 1, 1976 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Nathan loved to go fishing, camping and ride his bike. He also loved to cook and had plans of going back to school to become a chef. Nathan was kind hearted, caring and loved to help others. He enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with his family. Nathan will be missed dearly by his family and friends. May they always cherish the memories.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Teresa Purvis; one brother, Mike Purvis; one half brother, Joseph Rogers; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his biological father, Norman Rogers and his wife, Ruthie Purvis.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Crouch officiating.
