Nancy Lou Barber O'Dell, age 85, passed away on Saturday, January 6th at Fountain Circle Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born on February 22, 1938 in Bath County to the late George Earl Barber and Iola Reeves Barber. She was a retired secretary from Morehead State University and door greater at Wall-Mart in Morehead. She was crowned Miss Bath County at the 1957 May Day Festival. She also never met a Mt. Dew or Oatmeal Cream Pie she didn't like.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
A daughter, Lynn Patrick and her husband John of Mt. Sterling, a son, Jeff O'Dell and his wife Cindy of Frankfort.
Four grandsons, Evan Patrick and his wife Brittany of Mt. Sterling, Corey Patrick and his fiancé, Darrell Conway, of Mt. Sterling, Drew O'Dell of Norman, Oklahoma and Chase O'Dell of Frankfort.
A brother, Lewis Barber, of Chattanoga, Tennessee and three nieces.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest "Sonny" Barber, a sister-in-law, Bonnie Coyle Barber of Owingsville and a nephew, Phillip Barber of Mt. Sterling.
