Miriam Hunt, age 77, of Sharpsburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 11 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. She was born on May 24, 1945 in Sebree Kentucky to the late Roy Knight and Ruby Brown Knight. Miriam enjoyed sewing and quilting, which she was very good at. Some of her family have beautiful quilts she made that they will cherish forever. Shopping, jewelry and watching westerns were some of her favorite things. She also enjoyed working with her flowers and gardening. Miriam loved to spend time with her family. Her daughters and grandchildren were her world. Miriam was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was very much loved and will be deeply missed. May her family let the love and memories carry them through until they see her again.
She was survived by two daughters, Kelly Haskins and her husband, Randy: Stacy Lykins and her husband, Shannon; one stepdaughter, Danita Harmon and her husband, Mitch; four brothers, Willard, David, Michael and Bill Knight; one sister, Sue Gamblin; eight grandchildren, Holly Haskins, Logan Haskins (Kayla Everman), Sydney Robinson (Dustin), Abigail Lykins, Isabella Lykins, Kennedi Lykins, Jeremy Harmon and Kyle Harmon; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hunt; two brothers, Wilford and Bob Knight; one sister, Ramona Miller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Reed Fields, Dustin Robinson, Chris Knight, Larry Lykins, Jace Walling and Logan Haskins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Hall and Dean Glascock.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Richardson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
