Milbourn Shultz Obituary

Milbourn Shultz, age 93, of Olympia passed away at his residence on Friday, October 4. He was born on August 3, 1931 in Olympia, Kentucky to the late Irvin Shultz and Susie Armitage Shultz. Milbourn served in the Army as a young man. Later in life, he was a truck driver for Walker construction for over 35 years. Mib enjoyed hanging out at the local poolroom and at Lacy Copher's gas station. He loved watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds and UK basketball. His favorite thing to do was to play softball. He loved the sport and played for a senior softball league in his 70's. Mib was a simple man that enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and a great papaw. His family will miss him dearly but know that they are blessed with his love and memories. 

He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Roberts Shultz; one son, Keith Shultz; three daughters, Sharon Trent and her husband, Ted, Regina Pettit, Tammy Crouch and her husband, Jeff; two sisters, Marjorie Cannon and Geneva Daniels; seven grandchildren, Miranda Lee Whitaker (Thomas), Erin Casey Hardin (Chris), Travis Pettit (Samantha), Lacy Pettit (Andy), Ryan Crouch, Sara Roberts (Logan), and Kelly McHugh (Jesse); eight great grandchildren, Derek Bush, Jacob Bush, Allison Caudill, Abby Bromagen, Aubree Thompson, Clay Hardin, Sophia Pettit and Hunter Pettit; a special niece and caregiver, Mary Ellen Marksberry. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Littleton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Baber and Reverend Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery with military rights conducted. 

Active pallbearers will be Nick Cannon, Chris Hardin, Jesse McHugh, Jacob Bush, Travis Pettit, Ryan Crouch and Thomas Whitaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Bruce, Derek Bush, Billy Roberts, Kyle Roberts and Les Marksberry.
