Michael Ray Bohn, age 59, died peacefully in his home in Richmond, Kentucky on October 20, 2020, from heart failure.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Ray Bohn (September 1999) and mother, Joy Ann Roberts Bohn (April 2020). He leaves behind his wife, Kelli Bohn, sisters Cynthia Bohn (Sue) Rebecca Iddings, Alice Bohn (James), niece Britta Bradford, cousins Brent Bradley, and Billi Schantz (Michael).
Mike, known to his friends as “Bohn” or “Big Bohn”, was an honest, humble, hard-working, and humorous man. He loved travelling with his wife, watching sports, playing blackjack and poker, playing golf, playing with his cats, meeting up with his Bath County High School friends, and talking over the dinner table with friends and family.
He worked in the pizza industry since 1980 and enjoyed mentoring young adults to become successful in their careers. He took hard-earned pride in his work of building profitable businesses.
Mike was his best self in a one-on-one conversation, and was a great storyteller, a trait he shared with his beloved father. He loved 70s classic rock, and had a strong ear for music, wanting to listen to the Beatles even in his last days of life.
He loved traditional food, traditional values, and was a man of faith. He was an outstanding prayer leader for his family. He took care of his sick father, and later his sick mother, and deeply loved his wife.
Though gone too soon, he predicted an early end to his life, and those who love him will miss him tremendously and keep his memory alive.
