Marilyn Sorrell, age 67, passed away on October 25 at St. Joe Main in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on November 29, 1955 to the late Arvin Patrick and Mildred Alsept. Marilyn was a loving mother and grandmother. Family was important to her and she loved to spend time with them. She also loved antiques, reading books and making people laugh. Marilyn never met a stranger. She loved to be with her friends, talk, laugh and enjoy life. She had a kind, loving heart and would help anyone she could. Marilyn will be so dearly missed by all she leaves behind but they will never forget her kindness, her smile and her laughter.
She is survived by one son, Bryant Gordon Wells of Owingsville; one daughter, Marissa Brooke Wells of Chicago; one brother, Jerry Patrick and his wife Nikki of Bath County; three sisters, Patricia Ruth Baldridge of Jeffersonville; Carol Ann Linkous and her husband, Tim of Peasticks; Phyl Shrout and her husband, Walter of Jeffersonville; four grandchildren, Cameron Blake Howard of Lexington, Connor Watkins of Elizabethtown; Sasha Wells of Mt. Sterling and James Wells of Mt. Sterling; her two fur babies, Bella and Mollie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Sorrell and the father of her children, Billy Gordon Wells.
Visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 29 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Hoss Prater officiating.
