Lucille Jones Heath, age 95 of Owingsville, passed away on July 22 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. She was born on October 26, 1926 in Bath County to the late DC Jones and Ida Snedegar Jones. She was a homemaker and a farmer. Lucille was a member of the Slate Valley Christian Church. She loved to volunteer at the Christian Social Services. Traveling, reading, and quilting were some of the things she enjoyed doing. Lucille loved to journal and left alot of memories for her family to cherish. She loved her family and enjoyed every minute she could spend with them. Lucille was a kind hearted lady who was set in her ways but always there to lend a helping hand. Her family will miss her dearly and cherish all the memories they have with her.
She is survived by one daughter, Eula Mae Hale; two sons, Omar Heath and his wife Anita; Tommy Heath and his wife, Charletta; five grandchildren, Monnie Hale, Wes Hale, Jessica Heath Ahlgrim, Travis Heath and Casey Crouch; eight great grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ewell Heath; one sister, Meda Robinson; one niece, JoAnn Johnson and one great grandson, Austin Hale.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Gregg Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Junior Hawkins, Gary Gudgell, Wes Hale, Travis Heath, Dawson Heath and Terry Botts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Hale, Roger Horseman, Jessica Heath Ahlgrim, Monnie Hale, Nelson Jackson, Margaret Ann Hodge and Marcella Doggett.
