Lloyd D. Finney Sr., of Olympia, made heaven his home on October 6, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born in Plymouth, Indiana on July 26, 1938 to the late Francis Finney and Charlotte Hartman Finney. Lloyd was retired from Plymouth Hospital where he worked as maintenance for many years. He was a member of the Olympia Church of God and City of Refuge Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed fishing, farming and being outdoors. His passion was wood working. He blessed many people with his handmade wooden crosses that he would make. He loved his family, his church families and the Lord. He will be greatly missed here on earth but his loved ones will find comfort in knowing that he is waiting for them in his heavenly home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Leeann Maxson Finney; two sons, Lloyd Finney Jr. and Lewis Finney; one daughter, Jennifer Finney; three sisters, Mary Finney Goble, Phyllis Finney Brengle and Shirley Finney Szynkowicz; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Finney and Charlotte Hartman Finney; one son, Lonnie Finney.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Olympia Church of God.
Burial will be held at a later date in Plymouth, Indiana.
