Linda Sue (McKee) Williams

Linda Sue Williams, 68, of Hillsboro, KY, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Linda was born November 25, 1955 in Mason County to the late Hildreth and Anna Mark McKee.

Linda married Don Williams on July 11, 1975. She retired as a cook from the Bath County School System. Linda was an exemplary quiltmaker and crocheter. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts for friends, family and new editions to the family. Linda loved being outdoors sitting on her bench watching the chickens and talking to the cows. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers and canning. Linda was a wonderful cook and always had a new recipe for you to try. When you visited her, there would be a homemade sweet treat waiting. Bidding on auction items and painting were also favorite pastimes. Linda was a wonderful person and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church.

Linda is survived by her brother, Scott (Jill) McKee; nieces and nephews, Braydon McKee, who saw to all of Linda’s needs on a daily basis, Austin (LeighAnne) McKee, Cole (Angel) McKee, Bailey McKee, Erika (Richie) Gray, Joe (Colleen) Hunt; one brother in law, Jimmy (Nancy Jo) Williams; three sisters in law, Bobbie (David) Chaney, Ruth Vice and Carol Stephens; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Don, who passed in 2023; one brother in law, Charles Lee Williams; two sisters in law, Nina Finch and Lola Vice.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice and Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
