Leslie Renee Montjoy, age 40, passed away on February 14, 2026. She was born on August 2, 1985, the daughter of Debbie Purvis and the late Jeff "Buttermilk" Montjoy.
She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and niece whose love for her family was the center of her world. Her children were her pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to support them, as well as her nieces and nephews, in sports and every activity they pursued. She was their biggest cheerleader and their steady source of encouragement.
Leslie had a deep love for music of all kinds and could often be found singing along to the radio with a smile on her face. She enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafts and painting, always finding joy in making something beautiful with her hands.
Family meant everything to her. She treasured family dinners, time spent together, and the simple moments that created lasting memories. She was known for her huge heart and willingness to help anyone in need. A friend to everyone she met, she loved to laugh, have fun, and make those around her feel welcome.
Leslie also had a sweet tooth and especially loved Oreos with a cold glass of milk - one of her favorite simple pleasures.
Her kindness, warmth, laughter and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her but her spirit will live on in the hearts of family and friends forever.
She is survived by her mother, Debbie Purvis: her son, Braeden Montjoy: two daughters, Amiah Grace Valenti and Avery Clay Valenti: two sisters, Crystal Montjoy Day and Salena Ferguson: one brother, John Purvis: her stepmother, Frances Montjoy: seven nieces, Brianna Day, Makenna Day, Harlie Ferguson, Kourtney Ferguson, Sophia Ferguson, Malleigh Purvis and Tallorie Purvis: eight nephews, Jacob Day, Robert Ferguson, Hayden Meeks, Keegan Meeks, Branson Purvis, JP Purvis, Keegan Purvis and Paydin Purvis: several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
