Leonard Treadway, 81, of Owingsville passed away on Tuesday December 16, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Lee County, Kentucky on November 3, 1944 to the late Wilson and Pearl Treadway. He loved mowing yards and being outdoors. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and owned his own business for a time.
Survivors include two sons Darrell (Amanda) Treadway and Timmy Treadway; one daughter Michelle (Steve) Smallwood; two brothers Billy Treadway and Earl Treadway; one sister Nettie Auxier; seven grandchildren Tyler Treadway, Erin Treadway, Waylon Treadway, Christa Treadway (William Adkins), Erica Buckler, Caleb Treadway, and Kimberly Treadway; seven great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Brantlee Adkins, Tiana and Ariel Buckler, Daniel and Braydon Crouch and Hayley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children Bobby Joe Treadway and Tammy Lynn Treadway; two sisters Orfie Purvis and Viola Bashford; six brothers Ralph Treadway, Henry Treadway, Walter Treadway, Stanley Treadway, Bobby Treadway, Elex Whitey Treadway.
Friends may visit Saturday from 11-1 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. Funeral to follow with Pastor David Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Darrell Treadway, Timmy Treadway, William Adkins, Richard Adkins, Kevin King, and Stevie “Bub” Purvis. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Treadway, Earl Treadway and Fred Conn.
