Lawrence Hoover Shrout

Lawrence Hoover Shrout, age 88, of Owingsville, passed away on November 5 after a brief illness. He was born on June 21, 1934 in Bath County to the late Taulbee Shrout and Berthie Hatton Shrout. He was a life long farmer who loved to be outside in his garden and fields. His favorite thing from the garden was a good ripe tomato that he would enjoy with his biscuit and gravy. Lawrence was just a good hearted, humble country man that enjoyed the simple life. He loved to watch westerns. His favorite saying was "It is what it is." Lawrence lived a good life and kept a positive outlook on things. He will be missed dearly by his family he leaves behind.

He is survived by his two sons, Larry J. Shrout and Robert Lee Shrout both of Owingsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loreena Dawson Shrout and several family members.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
