Larry Serrano, age 76, of Salt Lick, Kentucky passed away early in the morning on Thursday, October 30, 2025 in Morehead, Kentucky. Larry was born July 14, 1949 in Santa Ana, California the son of Louis Serrano and Esperanza Gutierrez.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Serrano. They married on April 21, 2017. Larry was the best husband Wanda could have asked for.
He is also survived by his 5 children,
Brian and Neil Serrano
Jeff (Sherry) Serrano of Lawrenceburg, IN
Larry (Angie) Serrano of Zionsville, IN
Amber (Robert) Rainey of Salt Lick, KY
He is survived by his 5 siblings,
Cecilia Pinedo, Fred Serrano, Louie Serrano, Cathy Balderrama, and Theresa Wilson.
He is survived by his 13 grandchildren,
Kasandra Serrano, Shon Gleb, Jeffrey Serrano JR, Morgan Miller, and Jazlynn Miller, LJ Serrano, Destiney Serrano, Jeffrey Serrano, Faith Crouch, Austin Crouch, Destiny Serrano, Caleb Crockett, and Zoey Crockett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ruben Serrano, and sister Mary Castillo.
Larry will be remembered for being the life of the party. He was a family man, who showed loyalty to all he loved. He loved any chance he could get family together, for a cookout, camping, fishing, and wanted to cook for everyone. If family was around, he was always happy.
He had a huge love for sports, specifically cheering on the Jets, Dodgers, and Lakers.
Larry was a proud Veteran. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam war. He also was a hard working mechanist.
Larry’s loyalty, humor, and spark will be missed so much by his family.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
Military rites will be observed.
