Kenneth Dale Fawns, age 73 of Owingsville, passed away on February 12 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on July 29, 1951 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Alford Fawns and Donna Powell. Kenny worked in the auto parts business for over 50 years. He enjoyed his job and loved his old cars. Kenny loved to be outside working in the yard and feeding the birds and squirrels. He was an avid UK fan and was so excited about the season this year. Watching UK beat Tennessee was a proud moment for him. Kenny loved his community and was always willing to help others. Family was very important to him. His love for his wife, his children and grandchildren was unconditional. He treasured every moment he could spend with them. Kenny was very loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gekita Fawns; two sons, Lacy Fawns (Carla) and Chad Williams; one daughter, Trinity Cooper (James); one brother, Junior Fawns; two sisters, Bonnie Everman and Joyce Nickels; eight grandchildren, five bonus grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Jimmy Bussell officiating.
