Kenneth Kirby Sr. Obituary

Kenneth Ray Kirby Sr., age 67 passed away on Thursday, February 10 at St. Joe Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Clark County, Kentucky on June 5, 1954 to the late Walter Lewis Tipton and Nancy Clay Kirby Tipton. Kenneth worked as a farmer most of his life. He loved to tend to the garden, work on lawn mowers and loved his chickens. He enjoyed horses and wood working. The thing he loved the most was his family. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren more than anything. Kenneth was a simple, humble man with a huge heart. He was always willing to help others in their time of need. May the memories his family has of him give them comfort and carry them through. They find peace in knowing that he is now reunited with the love of his life. 

He is survived by six children; Ethel Kirby, John Kirby and his wife, Glenna, Tempie Burton and her husband, Randy, Kenneth Ray Kirby Jr. and his wife, Angelica, Krystal Arnett and her husband, Woody, Amber Cornett and her husband, Thomas; three brothers, Huett Tipton and his wife, Joyce; Rankin Tipton and his wife, Katonda; Pete Tipton; three sisters, Norma Puckett; Ruby Knowles and her husband, Bruce; Rose Hendrix and her husband, James; fourteen grandchildren, Blake Kirby, Joshua Back, Dallas Kirby, Hunter Kirby, Creek Cornett, Breanna Cornett, Sadie Ann Arnett, Emma Burton, Jessica Burton, Jesse Burton, Keisha Burton, Isabella Kirby, Sarah Watkins and Bynam Brooks; four great grandchildren; a special aunt, Betty Lou; a special sister in law, Ellie Lucas; several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Hendrix Kirby; two brothers, Billy Ray Kirby and Curtis Tipton; one sister, Barbara Stamper.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend James Hendrix III officiating.  Burial will follow in the Kirby Family Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be John Kirby, Ray Kirby, Woody Arnett, Randy Burton, Thomas Cornett, Rankin Tipton, Huett Tipton and Kevin Hendrix.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Lucas, Dan Lucas, Joey Tipton and Max Hatfield.
