Kenneth Cassidy, 76, passed away in his home after a long illness on Monday April 2, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Montgomery County to the late Kenneth Woodrow Cassidy and Lucille McCarty Cassidy on August 5, 1941. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was described by his family as highly educated and an intelligent man. He married his adoring wife and soulmate Elaine Cassidy and spent his life working as a machinist at AO Smith and did drafting and design work at Square D. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and he was a Boy Scout Leader in Montgomery County for many years. Towards the end of his life his passion became his church. He loved attending church and was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church and Grace Pentecostal Ministry.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beautiful wife, Elaine Cassidy of Owingsville; four sons Kenneth (Serena) Cassidy, Gregory Cassidy, Kelly (Charity) Blankenship, and Scott (Crystal) Blankenship; three daughters Veronica (Clifford) Stevens, Natasha Cassidy, and Robin (Dawayne) Turner; three sisters Betty (Bill) Varner, Pat (Wayne) Crouch, Gayle (Mike) Nickels; One Brother in law, Jim Carter; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Carter.
Friends may visit from 12-2 p.m.Friday at Richardson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. conducted by Reverend Roger Kinslow and Reverend Richard Rife. Burial will follow in the Hedricks Cemetery.
