Kathy Carpenter

Kathy Carpenter, age 72, of Owingsville, made heaven her home on November 11 after a brief illness. She was born on October 10, 1948 in Bourbon County to the late Otis Coldiron Jr. and Dorothy Snapp Coldiron. Kathy was a school bus driver for the Bath County School System for over 40 years. She enjoyed driving and seeing all the children. She was a member of 801 House of Prayer and loved to go to church. She loved the Lord and her church family. She was a member of the Bath County Homemakers, sold Avon and loved Mary Kay. Kathy loved to paint, read books, learn new recipes and go to yard sales. Most of all she liked to help others. Kathy had a loving, caring personality and was always there to do what she could for her family and friends. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was something she treasured. Her memory will live on through the lives of those she touched. Our loss is heaven's gain. Kathy was an angel here on earth and will now look after her loved ones forever.

She is survived by four sons, Dewayne Carpenter (Greta), Joe Carpenter (Jennifer), Danny Carpenter (Twila), Ernie Carpenter (Chy); two sisters, Betsey Estes (Greg) and Bonita Schanding (Bradley); two sisters in law, Beulah Coldiron and Wilma Gillen; nine grandchildren, Darren Carpenter, Anthony Wallace, Rhianna Carpenter, Brittney Jones, Jacob Carpenter, Jaden Carpenter, Raven Carpenter, Montanna Carpenter and Colten Carpenter; four great grandchildren, Elena Carpenter, Zoe Jones, Ethan Jones and Baylee Wallace; a special friend, Steve Goldie; her beloved dog, Teddy

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tim Carpenter; one son, Leslie Jay Carpenter; one brother, Phillip Coldiron.

Visitation will be Friday, November 13 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at the Carpenter Cemetery.

Reverend Joseph and Robyn Cline will be officiating. 

Active pallbearers will be Darren Carpenter, Anthony Wallace, Jacob Carpenter, Colten Carpenter, Steve Carpenter, John Tabor, Clinton Tabor, David Schanding, and Phillip Coldiron Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Groves, James Gillen and Justin Gillen. 

COVID 19 regulations will be followed as set forth by the state.
