Johnny Donahue

Johnny Edward Donahue, age 35, passed away on May 12. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on May 14, 1990 to Roy Lewis Donahue Jr. and Kathy Robinson Donahue Blevins. 

Johnny was a hard worker who truly loved what he did, taking great pride in his work with Swartz Construction and Tree Removal Inc., where he had been employed  for 17 years. Known for his kind heart and fun loving spirit, he never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. 

He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed riding and training Tennessee Walking Horses with his dad. Johnny loved to go hunting, fishing and ride four wheelers. Dirt track racing was a passion of his and he loved the excitement and memories that came with it. More than anything, he loved making people laugh, having a good time with friends and family. 

Johnny deeply loved his mom and dad, his family and his many friends. His caring nature, laughter and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will love on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. 

He is survived by his dad, Roy Lewis Donahue Jr. (Kay Donahue); his mom, Kathy Robinson Donahue Blevins (Michael Ramey); one sister, Tonya Parmley (Derek); one brother, Cody Blevins; three step siblings: Several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Fannie Donahue; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Loretta Robinson and one brother, Kevin Donahue.

Visitation will be held on Friday, may 15 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Brother Russell Ingram and Brother Les Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in the Donahue Cemetery.
