JoAnn (Robinson) Johnson

JoAnn Robinson Johnson, 69, passed away on Saturday May 5, 2018. She was born September 21, 1948 in Montgomery County to the late Elbert "Pete" Robinson and Meda Mae Jones Robinson. She was a retired school teacher from Salt Lick Elementary, where she taught for 27 years. She also taught in the Menifee County School System. JoAnn was a representative for the East Kentucky Tourism, a member of the Kentucky Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Bath County Retired Teachers. She was co-owner of the Clear Creek Market and Restaurant, where she loved to host reunions for her graduating class of 1966. 

JoAnn lived life to the fullest and was all about being positive in everything she did. She loved to travel and would plan her trips around eating but never found anyone that came close to being as great of a cook as she was. She loved to cook for family and friends. She loved her parents and cared for them both. JoAnn had a kind, loving spirit that attracted people to her. She was genuine and cared for all that she came in contact with. She touched many lives through her years as an educator, which was very important to her. JoAnn helped many with her positive and encouraging ways. 

She leaves behind one Aunt, Lucille Heath; Two Uncles, Leonard Robinson and Frank Robinson; Many Cousins, along with a Host of adopted family and students. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Johnson, and her parents, Elbert "Pete" Robinson and Meda Mae Jones Robinson. 

Friends may visit on Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend James Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery.
