Jeffrey Lee Otis

Jeffrey Lee Otis, of Owingsville, KY passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday July 4, 2018 after only 37 short years on this earth. He was born on January 19, 1981 in Montgomery County to the late Jeffrey " Bear" Otis and Glenda Jones Otis. He was married to Lauren Routt Otis and together they had two wonderful and precious children, Addilyn Sloan Otis and Alexander Lee Otis and his loyal companion "Who Dey". He was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God. He was a graduate of Bath County High School Class of 1999, which he was Class President and Beta Club President and cherished all of his friendships. He was also a 2003 graduate of Morehead State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administrating. He was owner and broker for Hometown Mortgage of KY since 2003 where he was known for this logo, "We are small enough to know you and big enough to make your dreams come true". Jeffrey was a loving husband, daddy, son and grandson that was loved so very much and will be greatly missed. He was the ultimate Bengal fan with a heart as big as Cincinnati. He never met a stranger and was there to lend a helping hand. 

Besides his beautiful wife and children, he is survived by his loving mother, Glenda Jones Otis, his grandparents, Betty Jones and Janice and Wayne Otis. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and very special friends, Sandra Razor Corum and Dwayne and Bertha Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his biggest fan and father, Jeffrey "Bear" Otis and grandfather, William Alexander Jones. 

Visitation will be Saturday July 7, 2018 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral will be Sunday July 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice officiating. Burial to follow at the Owingsville Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund that has been set up for his children with the Owingsville Banking Company.

The family suggests that funeral attendees wear their favorite Bengals attire. They also ask for your continued thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
