Jaynetta Barnett, age 44, passed away October 26 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on October 4, 1977 to the late William Jay Ritchie and JoAnn Ratliff. Jaynetta was a loving person who cherished her family. Her happiness was being with her family and grandchildren. Her kind heart and contagious smile will be missed dearly by those she leaves behind. Her loved ones will forever cherish the memories they have and may she live on in their hearts always.
She is survived by one son, Dalton James Barnett; one daughter, Tiffany Stapleton; her significant other, Harvey Stapleton; three brothers, Jim Mauk, John Mauk and Jason Ritchie; three sisters, Stephanie Henderson, Michelle Means, and Lisa Banks; two grandchildren, Gavin McCarty and Emmett Barnett; one stepson, Drake Martin; one stepdaughter, Leah Martin; one nephew, Thomas Jay McCarty; a host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Little Ella Church in Jeffersonville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Ella Church with Reverend Tommy Evans and Brother Steve McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the McGuire Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Barnett, Shawn Trusty, Sondra Holdern, Joe Holdern, John Stapleton, John Henry, Vondall Elliott and Mason Harris.
Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Jay McCarty.
