Jared Scott Grigsby, age 20, passed away on February 17, 2022 at St. Joe Hospital in Mt. Sterling, KY. He was born on December 12, 2001 to Barry Grigsby and Morgan Barnard Grigsby. Jared was a 2020 graduate of Bath County High School. He was employed as a mechanic at Eagle Chevrolet in Morehead. Jared was a hard worker and took pride in his job that he loved so much. When not working as a mechanic, he loved to go fishing, ride four wheelers and shoot guns. He loved to be outdoors. At a young age, Jared enjoyed playing baseball. Being at home spending time with his family was important to him. He loved his siblings and was so proud of them. He enjoyed cooking for everyone and was good at it. Jared can be described as a kind hearted, mannerly young man with a heart of gold. He was always willing to help others. Jared was funny, smart, sweet and caring. He was dedicated and admired by many. Everyone loved him and he will be dearly missed by all that he leaves behind. May they forever cherish the stories, the laughs and the good times they had with him.
He is survived by his parents, Barry and Morgan Grigsby; three brothers, Seth Grigsby and Zachary Grigsby of Owingsville, James Grigsby of Nicholasville; two sisters, Sydney Grigsby of Owingsville and Cheranda Grigsby of Somerset; his girlfriend and love of his life, Jules Laflamme; step grandmother, Joyce Bernard; a host of special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Justin Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oldfield Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Seth Grigsby, Dalton Nelson, Gabe Crabtree, Hunter Crose, Cody Viars, Paul Laflamme, James Grigsby and John Perkins.
