Janet Justice Coyle, age 87, passed away on May 27 at Ridgeway Nursing Home in Owingsville. She was born on February 12, 1937 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Joseph H. Justice and Lucy Mae Lyons. Janet was an avid horse lover and was known for giving riding lessons to many over the years. She was an active leader in 4-H and the drill team. Janet worked as a book keeper for Frank Allen and for Albert Clay Warehouses for many years. She was also president of the Women's Club of Mt. Sterling for several years. Being outside, enjoying the weather and flowers were some of her favorite things to do. She loved her family and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Caywood (Karen); one daughter, Kimberly McCane (Denny Jude); two brothers, Alan Justice (Phyllis) and Stanley Justice (Josie); four grandsons, David McCane, Darren McCane, Derek McCane and Daryl McCane; eight great grandchildren and a special friend, Rachel Newkirk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Coyle; one brother, Joe Justice Jr., two sisters, Nancy Chase and Karen Hayes.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Owingsville Cemetery with Reverend Lowell Rice and Brother Anthony Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers will be David McCane, Darren McCane, Derek McCane and Daryl McCane and Dylan McCane.
