Jack Allen Richards

Jack Allen Richards, age 64, passed away on May 30 at his residence. He was born in Bath County on May 21, 1958 to JoAnn Welch Richards and the late John Adair Richards Jr. Jack was a Bath County High School graduate from the class of 1976. He worked in construction and farming for many years. Being outdoors and hunting for Indian rocks was his favorite thing to do. He enjoyed cattle trading, playing his guitar and listening to music. Jack was a very creative person and was always thinking of a new invention. Attending family gatherings, enjoying the good food and spending time with his family was something he looked forward to. Jack was loved by so many and will be missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his mother, Joann Richards; three sons, Nathan Richards and his wife Aleisha, Jared Richards, Jonathan Sorrell and his wife Angela; two daughters, Candra Bailey and her husband, Sean, Joannah Richards; two brothers, John Richards III and his wife, Carol and James Richards; two sisters, Jennifer Clark and Judith Jent and her husband, Jamie; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Adair Richards Jr. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2 from 4:00 p.m. until 6: 00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Dr. Sean Bailey officiating.
